Originally inspired by the human potential movement of the early 1970's, I undertook a wide range of courses and training programmes, which included: NLP, Mindfulness & Meditation, Addiction Counselling and Hatha Yoga. I have always been passionate about food and have had a life-long interest in nutrition and health.
During the early 1980's I co-owned and ran a successful and vibrant whole-food store in North London and was frequently asked for advice on food and diet. I could clearly see that a person's capacity to cope mentally and emotionally was closely linked to their physical health and particularly their diet, which motivated me to train as a Clinical Nutritionist.
Family commitments necessitated a move to Berkshire where I continued to expand my knowledge through continued professional development. This included training as a counsellor with Relate and additional training in addiction and eating disorders.
I live in Caversham, Reading with my musician husband and lively Border terrier Ella.
